Do Good Wednesday: Pits for Patriots

Every Wednesday, I will feature a story about a rescue, an organization, or someone doing good for dogs. This week’s feature was actually introduced to me by my Mom!

This week’s feature is – wait for it, wait for it – Pits for Patriots! It has a very American name doesn’t it, makes you want to sing the National Anthem (no, just me)? Pits for Patriots is a Chicago based organization whose team trains rescued pit bulls to become service dogs for Veterans and First Responders in need. How cool is that?

PFP does not receive any Government funding – its all private. If you want to help support the Troops, First Responders, Pit Bulls, and this great organization check out their 2nd Annual Motorcycle Ride on June 8th. I have included a flyer below with all of the details (notice the cute Pit Bull!).

If motorcycles aren’t your thing and you still want to help, check out their site: http://www.pitsforpatriots.org.
